Talking about the weather. Vocabulary 2.

Internet is full of software applications dealing with weather either to use in your computer or to bring with you in your tablet or even your smartphone. Have a look at some of them before answering to the following task.

  1. I have installed the first application, "weather screen", but it doesn't work. I have chosen my city, but no data it's provided. Do you know another program I can use in order to do this excercise?

  4. Dear colleague,
as you may know, I am going to Wellington by 30th January to launch the new product our company has just created. At the moment, I am checking the weather forecast for that time so as to be sure I pack the right clothes.
Weather at that time will be quite changeable, therefore apart from the suit I have to wear for the presentation, I am packing casual clothes to have some tourism and I have included a raincoat, just in case! I hope to visit Auckland, Canterbury and Christchurch and I need comfortable clothes such as jeans, polo-shirts, sweaters and a pair of trainers. I don´t think I will need a coat or jumper, although at dawn temperatures go lower, I´ll see...

  6. Dear Pepe,
as you know, I have to flight to New Zealand on January 30th to launch "Axe Wave", our new product. I have looked up the weather in the Internet, and I saw that it will be probably partly cloud the day I arrive. The temperatures would be among 14ºC and 22ºC, so I have decided to pack my umbrella (it'll probably rain). As I think it won't be so much cold, maybe with two coats, two pullovers and my jeans is enough, because I will stay there only three days, and I don't like to carry so much weight. I will try to visit the capital city, Wellington, so I'll carry my trainers too.
    I hope to have a good flight (it's a 20-hours flight!!!).
    Regards,
    Gisela.

  7. Dear Gisela,
"Fly" is a verb you need for your first sentence and "a flight" is the noun (un vuelo)as you say in your last one.
You can also "check" the weather forecast, and say "it will be CLOUDY".
    Well done, keep on improving!
    Best,
    Lucía.
